COVID Protocols
DIAGNOSIS
We strongly recommend that you see a doctor to diagnose COVID as opposed to self-testing at home. They can also diagnose other illnesses and provide treatment. This will ensure that you are properly diagnosed and treated for any non-COVID illnesses.
Should you test positive for COVID, please let your department head know.
RETURN TO WORK
The CDC currently suggests a minimum isolation period of 24 hours and that you not return to work until you are fever-free for at least 24 hours (without the assistance of fever-reducing medication) and all symptoms have resolved. We will not be tracking this, so we ask you to respect this suggestion, self-assess your symptoms, and help keep each other safe and healthy.
COVID SICK PAY
WICKED will adhere to the NYS COVID-19 Sick Pay laws while they exist, which currently grants each employee up to 14 paid sick days per COVID case for up to three (3) COVID cases. These sick days are in addition to your regular sick day allocation, as determined by your union’s collectively bargained agreement. In order to access these additional COVID sick days, you must provide a doctor’s note, confirming your diagnosis, to Company Management.
REMINDERS
Please remember to maintain healthy hygiene and take care of yourselves to prevent both COVID and non-COVID illnesses – wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, etc. A reminder, as always, to self-assess how you’re feeling before coming to work. If you feel ill, please call out. If the illness is severe or persists, please see a doctor.
WICKED will continue to provide sanitizing supplies as needed per department, so department heads may include these with their regular supply orders. There’s also still a limited supply of antigen tests and masks available outside the Stage Management office.
